Points have been reset !

 It's been well over a year since I've reset the player stats, so as of right now, it is done. Also, if you notice, you will no longer be penalized for dying, but you will advance for kills. As always, have fun!

It IS a great day to be alive...

Today marks two years since Will left us. I wish he could see all that has become of his little corner of his gaming community. Thank you for everyone that comes by and makes SoCal such a great little place to blow off some steam and have a good time. Thank you for those who left such kind words here when he passed.

So it's taken me about two months to port this sucker over to hl2dm, but it is live on the server . As of right now I need to work on the following:

• brightness (map is too bright)

• more props

So close, yet so far....

I was close last night, I really was. I had Gordon Freeman's model working on the site and this morning is stopped working. I believe it is a server precaching issue. If anyone has this kind of knowledge, help would be appreciated. If I delete the files, then connect to the server, then they work. But if the files are already on my computer, then I connect to the server, the custom model is a big red error.

A new cast of characters...

 

For as long as I have owned SoCal, I've always wanted the ability to expand the cast of playable characters for HL2DM. That time is now! 

To activate the model selection menu, make sure you have cl_showpluginmessages 1 in your game config or just type it in your console. When first joining the server, you should get a prompt to hit ESC to bring up the model menu. If not, in chat type

 Have fun fraggin' with your favorite characters.
